Bringing a Message of Hope to America

Projects

Iraqi Women Project

Cynthia was asked by a Colonel before he deployed to Iraq if she and her organization could help collect sewing machines, fabric, dress patterns and make up for the Iraqi women. The Colonel explained the Iraqi woman needed to earn an income to support their families. There were 2000 Iraqi woman who signed up to take sewing lessons. Cynthia and her friends helped to support the Colonel's mission to help the Iraqi women and their families. We believe this effort helped our troops to bring peace to this region that blessed the Iraqi families and ultimately benefited our troops and our country.

As you see in this picture below, a Marine from Camp Pendleton picked up the first shipment of brand new and old sewing machines, fabric, dress patterns and make up.

BLANKETS/QUILTS & BEANIES WERE MADE FOR MILITARY FAMIILES

A group of ladies known as the "Knitt Witts" helped Cynthia make camouflage beanies and blankets for the troops along with caps and baby blankets for their children. Cynthia and her organization purchased 30 bolts of camouflage fleece - 2,000 yards - and asked women in churches and groups to help her make more than 800 blankets. The Knitt Witts: Dodie Beauchamp, Gina Brewington, Peggy Chaply, Gloria Densham, Shirley Ferguson, Barbara Goldstein, Margo Grube, Carol Hagedorn and Carol Tengdin have knitted over 5 dozen beanies for the Marines serving in Iraq. So together with the help of other women and churches, over 800 blankets were made for our troops.

We need camouflage blankets, quilts, baby blankets and beanies for our military families. This project is on going and we desire to give as many blankets as we can to our troops and baby blankets/quilts and baby hats for their children. Please e-mail or contact Cynthia at (949) 637-7615 if you would like to help with this project.

Blankets were given to the Marines at their Christmas party.

A scripture from the bible: Joshua 1:9, a message of strength and encouragement is sewn onto each blanket.

Quilts were made by the women from "The Grace and Peace Quilt Ministry"  and were sent to our troops serving in Iraq for Valentine's Day.

Each quilt was hand made with a special scripture verse from the bible.
Here you see the quilts being packaged to send over seas.

Each box gets labled for shipping and 20 blankets can fit in one box.

Care packages on their way to Iraq.
