Okinawa Just Received Our Christmas Packages!
Operation Christmas Care Packages

1,000 Christmas stockings in 94 boxes including baked cookies from the Irvine Girl Scouts. That's what got sent all the way to Japan from our December 1st and 2nd Operation Christmas Care Packages event.
All in all, 2,800 - 3,000 Christmas stockings went out to our troops this year, including for 2 Army Units serving in Afghanistan and to our adopted Battalion, serving in Okinawa.
Here are some of the troops' responses:
- "Just got the packages, awesome and thanks so much! Great Christmas treat for the guys. Reminds them of home and came at a great time here."
- "We have received your first 7 boxes! The fun begins!!! Love to you and the team!"
- "Here are just a few pictures from today’s Christmas stocking delivery. The Marines are very happy and very thankful. We have a total of 54 boxes so far that have arrived. And all of those stockings have been distributed."

Operation Christmas Care Packages is an annual program hosted by WOCHP, in collaboration with other organizations. With the support of volunteers and contributors, we are able to come together to create care packages for military personnel overseas who are unable to spend Christmas with their families. Please donate to Operation Christmas Care Packages to keep this great program going each year, and to touch the lives of our brave men and women overseas.
